Should You Get Your Tungsten Ring Engraved?
So, you found the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. Woohoo! Congrats! Huzzah!
Now it’s time to find the perfect men’s ring (or rings) that will fit your style, personality and budget. Today we’re going to specifically talk about men’s tungsten rings. We love tungsten because it’s affordable, it can withstand pretty much anything you can throw at it and there are plenty of awesome styles to choose from. But, after you find that perfect tungsten wedding band, the question remains...should you get it engraved?
To answer that question, we’ll use a classic pros and cons list.
Pros:
You can memorialize your relationship
Maybe it’s a nickname, your first date or something that is special to you and your significant other. An engraving is a really cool way to make that memory last forever. Not to mention, you can score big points with your love if you come up with the idea 😉. Buying your wedding band is super exciting and it only adds to the cool factor when you can tie a personal memory to your custom tungsten ring.
You can get super creative
It’s your ring so make it one of a kind! You two are not a generic couple, so why go with a generic ring? We’ve seen funny nicknames, forever promises, significant dates, superhero quotes and some things that will remain unsaid 😆. We’ve even had some customers who have created their own personal logo to put on their ring. That’s the cool thing about getting your tungsten ring laser engraved is that you can do pretty much anything you want. In case you haven’t noticed yet, being married can be challenging at times. I’m sorry, I meant WILL be challenging at times! Cultivating a long-term healthy marriage is tough and it takes an Epic man to help do that. So, having a little reminder to look at when things are tough can be helpful. You can take a moment to look at your custom engraving and think about what made you fall in love in the first place. It works, and sometimes that’s just what we need. You’re not always going to feel loving feelings towards the person you marry, but love is more than a feeling and your engraving can help remind you of that.

Most places won’t let you return an engraved ring
Once you get your ring engraved, it’s a custom wedding band. Which is awesome, but not so awesome if you accidentally ordered the wrong size. Most jeweler's aren’t interested in reselling your ring that has “my boo” engraved on it. Lucky for you, this can easily be avoided with a Bands 4 Bros ring sizer. Grab a ring sizer or go to your local jewelry store to confirm your size BEFORE you order your custom engraved tungsten wedding band.
It costs more

Well, there ya have it. Should you get your tungsten ring engraved? We think it’s a great way to personalize a significant piece of jewelry but it’s really up to YOU. If engraving isn’t your thing then don’t do it. It’s your wedding and your wedding band so go ahead and do what you want with it. If you want to go all out, go all out. Create a custom image, write a poem, or write out all the reasons you fell in love (in 35 characters or less or course...it does need to fit into a ring).
